I know this isn't good but this is my first "horror" story but my third or so game related story. And for those who have either heard of or played the Dead Rising games, this is kinda based off of them. And sorry if it's kinda short too because this is all I could have thought of at the time and plus I had wanted to get this done by Halloween too so yeah here it is.

One normal afternoon, a young hournalist was looking around the mall and wrote in her notebook since neither her or some of the other people couldn't leave because something odd was outside. An older looking guy who might be in his 50's walked up to the young journalist and tapped her on the shoulder to get her sttention so she turned around and asked "Yes?" The older male kinda blinked and said "If you're wondering what's out there, it is zombies." The female just rolled her eyes and went over to a bench and sat down and watched the other people put stuff against the doors and she wrote down what the older male had said about the possibility of zombies being outside. After awhile the female finally helped the other after she had out her notebook in her backpack but a minute or so later the zombies broke through so some of the people were bitten by them but the others including the female had gone to their "safehouse" in the mall where the zombies couldn't get to them. The female was sitting on a long couch with one other person and the female asked "What exactlt caused those people to becom zombies?" The leader was pacing back and forth and said "We have no idea. But this should make a great part for the newspaper." The female nodded in agreement to the last part so she took out her notebook and wrote down what had happened so far and had also written down the survivors names. After a couple hours of resting, the survivors made a plan to find anymore survivors and to find other supplies before their ride comes back in 5 days so the female had volunteered herself so this ways she will know what to wrote in her notebook. The leader gave her the other walkie talkie and she had gone out to the rest of the mall to find other survivors like herself. She looked around to figure out which store to check first then she had spotted a games store so she had walked over there then suddenly a zombie had attacked her but she had grabbed the closest thing to her which was a sword and she had cut the zombies head off. The female looked into the sword place to see a survivor but didn't see one but she still walked in to write what had just happen in her notebook and once that was done and put away, she picked up the sword she had and had gotten a second one just incase. About five minutes later, she had gotten to the games store and saw that the two guys weren't hurt so one of them had noticed her and she told them that there were other survivors and she had lead them to the "safehouse" The leader had nodded to the female once she and the two guys had entered the "safehouse" but after awhile the female ate and took a drink of the water before heading out again but had tooken a look at the map of the mall and had crossed off the games store and next was the huge food court and she said "Woah that's one hugs food court...." Th guy that was on the couch earlier had said "I know, I'm still wondering how they got that many fast food places in there but they did have help from other people like us." The female had nodded remembering that day and as she was about to leave the leader had said to stay unseen by the zombies and she has asked houw she would then the leadrer responded just to act like them until she had found any sruvivors there. It nearly took the female almost 4 or so hours to get the survivors and to return back to the "safehouse" And she had said "I'm too tired to head back out to find more people...." The leader looked at his watch and said "I guess it is time to try and sleep..." The others had to agree with that. The next morning the female had gone to the pharmacy to find a survivor or cough syrup because the leader had said that the cough syrup would cure the other people so half an hour later, the female came back with the survivor and lots of cough syrup but she was bitten herself but she wasn't a zombie but she took some cough syrup just incase and the leader had bandaged up her right arm before the bite had gotten infected so later that day and the next few days the leader had helped the female to find atleast more survivors. On the final day, the female asked "So what next Jay?" Jay had thought for a moment before responding and finally said "Well I have this friend who could probably cure the zombies for us." The female had nodded and after awhile Jay's friend was done setting the stuff up when their huge helicopter had arrived so everyone had gotten in the Jay's friend set the stuff going but it took atleas half hour to reach all the zombies as the survivors watched and the female was writting it down and after awhile the helicopter took the female to the newspaper place and she had also added to her writting that she was almost been bitten by her zombie mother but had gotten away but she also added that she thought it would have been weird that she would have gotten bitten by her zombie mother. So everyone was now reading what was going on in the past 5 days and the female was patted on the head by the mayor when she was presented as a hero to the city even though there was a "Zombie Aocalypse" in the city.
